I think your truck has throttle body fuel delivery? My understanding is a temp sensor tells either computer or throttle body that engine is warm and cuts out "choke". Hope this can help you.

Yeah as to what the guy said earlier its either efi or tbi thats what i would think also but to be honest just because you got a new map sensor doesnt mean it works right i mean it could be performing but not like it should

Do you have a check engine light? If so, go to an auto parts store and have them scan for a code.

With temperature related problems, check your intake manifold bolts for tightness. Our intakes are plastic and have a tendency to become loose, causing vacuum leaks. When it warms up, the plastic intake will expand sealing any leaks. But when it's cold, will contract, causing leaks. Easiest to check are cylinder #5 & 6 near the fire wall.

Also, clean your throttle body, a dirty throttle body will cause idle problems, especially in TB's because we don't have a true PCV valve, so gets dirty which causes sticking of the butterfly.

When I first start my Vette, it runs rough, like a carb car does if the choke isn't closing enough. Then after it gets warmed up and hot, it doesn't want to start back up and acts like it's vaporlocking...

On the start up thing: Look at the CHOKE PULLOFF. It's job is to open the choke enough to run. The diaphram inside fails often, from heat.

On the after warmed up thing: If this is a Quadrajet, when warm, just before you were to start it; without touching any throttle; open hood, pull air cleaner; look and smell all around for fuel. Carb floats eventually accept some fuel and become heavy, and will leak when warmer...

If you have zero, essentially, signs of raw fuel or smell....Look down the carb, and open the throttle, and hold open. You should see a squirt of fuel into each primary venturi. If no fuel, you should also have hesitation on acceleration.

Another quadra jet issue is drilling plugs. THis is between the carb body and the throttle plates. Rebuild kits have a sponge thing to seal that area, but without it and with leaking plugs, your FLOAT bowl drains of gas.....

If you cannot do these thing, take the text to the person that will work on it. These issues are typical, but when fixed, the Qjet is one of the best and most stable carbs out there.

1990 chevy blazer 350 ci throttle body fuel injected . the motor is flooding out u can see the injectors keep dumping fuel into the throttle body

Sounds like you have an injector leaking. Have someone just cycle the key on and off to run the fuel pump but don't crank the engine. If you see fuel dripping from the injectors, unbolt the injector cover on the throttle body, remove the injectors and replace the orings around the injectors.

That may help. Also check for fouled plugs. Also check the fuel pressure regulator on fuel rail, check for vacuum at the regulator.

i want you to get OBD trouble codes from your computer. then post them on here. im sure it will hold clues to what the problem is...Various auto part stores will do this service for free in hopes you will buy parts from them...but call them first and make sure. parts to look at Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve...it acts like a choke with modern engines. also the Coolant temp sensor is associated with this as well. Second is the Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. and last one is your Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor . lastly it could be the Throttle position sensor (TPS).. all these can be detected on your computer within the car. although the the numbered codes will be labeled with abreviations like MAP Sensor or IAC valve. also you can manually test all these sensors at home with a regular voltage tester and reading some online info...just search " How to test a MAP sensor" almost all sensors have very similar readings from car to car, so its pretty generic. hope this helps

Cold rough idle and engine light flashed

Spark plugs/wires might need to be replaced. Check your spark plug gaps and check your spark plug module harness connection on both sides of the engine. The check engine blinking indicates short/misfiring. If there is short in the harness, you can check it by moving around the wires close to connector one by one while the engine is running. You might need to remove and ckean the Throttle Body.
