My 02 camry le failed emmission test whats wrong error codes po440, po441, po446, po420

You have codes for a failed exhaust converter,PO420,
EVAP System problem PO440,Incorrect Purge Flow PO441,
Evap Vent Control issues,PO446

Your car is all messed up

That should have been all checked, BEFORE you spent time
in line for inspection

If all the codes are for real & not a false report

You will need new spark plugs, ignition & fuel checked,
new exhaust converters, new evap purge valve, new evap
vent solenoid & possibly vacuum leaks resolved

You either bought someones neglected vehicle or never
do a thing but drive it

May be easier to get a different vehicle, your repair bill
will start at $1,000 & go up, from not being proactive & taking
care of what is required in owning any vehicle (lack of knowledge)

You will need the oxygen sensors also & no, they won't fix the
amount, of what appears to be several failed items, all at one time

So much for Toyota being better than other vehicles

I have a blinking check engine light and I have went to have the codes checked out and they show a bad gas cap but the car has a rough idle and I have just rebuilt the engine. the car sounds as though it...

Hi, if the trouble code was P0455, it could be a purge valve that has failed or jammed open. This can easily happen when the vapor cannister screen fails and allows charcoal into the purge line. The charcoalcan then block the closing of the purge valve and allow purge flow during idle. Remove the purge valve and see if it's open. If it's jammed, clean it out. If there is charcoal in it, replace the vapor cannister. If the valve just doesn't close due to a broken return spring, replace the valve.
If the valve is fine, turn your attention to the parts in the back of the car. Look for a busted hose on the cannister or a crack in the cannister, but this would not explain the idle issues. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

What is po411 and po445 for 2006 vw jetta/

P0411- Means Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected!
Possible causes - Vacuum hoses damaged.
- Air Pump inoperative.
- Air bypass solenoid circuit open.
- Air bypass solenoid leaking/blocked or stuck open/closed.
- Air diverter valve leaking/blocked or stuck open/closed.
- Air air hoses r Possible solution - Visually inspect vacuum lines for disconnects in the AIR systems and visually inspect for proper vacuum line routing. Repair if necessary.
- Disconnect the air pump hose at the solenoid valve, start the engine and see if there is air being pumped P0445- Means Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted! Possible causes - Damage harness or connectors to the Purge Control Valve
- The valve circuit is open or shorted
- EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve may be faulty
P0445 Description The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve uses a ON/OFF duty to control the flow rate of fuel vapor from the EVAP canister. The EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve is moved by ON/OFF pulses from the ECM. The longer the ON pulse, the greater the amount of fuel vapor that will flow through the valve. When is the code detected? - An excessively high voltage signal is sent to ECM through the valve

Starts up but will not stay idling, bad gas smell comes out of it.

Hello! The gas vapor system, which is under pressure, must be purged...Without the ability to purge fuel will not flow...This is the reason the engine will not idle...Because you smell gas vapors is an indication the vapor canis ter purge valve is either defective or has an open/broken vacuum line...Follow the vacuum diagram under the hood and trace all lines..."tired" vacuum lines will **** closed, replace any cracked, broken or soft lines...If this does not solve the problem replace the purge valve...See picture below...guru...saailer...

Jetta 2006 Code P0456

P0456: Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak)

Using a Multimeter, check the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve N80 terminals 1 and 2 for resistance. You should get 22.0 to 30.0 Ohms. If not, replace the canister. If you do, you have other problems.
