It uses 134. Remember to use the correct type of oil charge if the compressor is noisy. If you are doing it yourself and want to purge the system, you can get a vacuum pump on loan from Autozone or Oreillys. It is a big deposit but you get the money back when you return the machine.

What kind of mercury grand marquis suspension issues are there?

I am sorry but luckily I have not had any suspension issues other than tie-rods, which need to be replaced periodically anyway. I did do suspension work last summer replacing the front ti-rods , wheel alignment/balance and new tires but since then the ride has been good.

I have a 99 grand marquis the a/c still blows could but it only blows hot air how do I fix this problem

If the blower works but no cold air, a mechanic would check to see if the system is low on freon, then check for voltage at the low pressure switch and the ac clutch as needed.

Which type of Freon do I use in a 1991 Grand Marquis?

Unless it's been converted to the newer refrigerant (there would be stickers present indicating a conversion was done) you most likely have R-12. R-12 is only sold to those with a license to repair and service air conditioning.

What kind of freon

R 134A is now the choice for freon use in autos. The "old stuff" R 12 has been banned for some time now. You car is new enough to have R 134A in it You should not have any problems in finding someone to check and recharge if nessary. Hope this helps. Moe
