Try using one of those tool pic up snakes sold at Sears. Its on a thin piece of metal with a fold up claw on the end of it , which opens up once you depress the lever.

Can I siphon gas from a 1995 ford thunderbird the v 8

Most cars have an anti siphoning device in the filler tube that resembles a screen so you can't put a tube down to be able to siphon gas out of the tank.

How to reset fuel settings of 2009 forester

Hi Robert, There are very few adjustments to carry out on the system. I would suggest a good service and the replacement of the air cleaner element. Have the vehicle diagnostically scanned to make sure none of the sensors have not become defective. regards John

I can not put gas in my 1999 subaru forester. i have to go very slow it takes for ever. what is wrong with this car.

They shove these anti siphon tubes down in the fuel hose and they get crimped some times. It's made of plastic and is flexible. You can try to grab the fuel hose and squeeze it to find the crimp. Then take a pair of pliers and try to open the crimped part back up. Some times this works, some times you have to pull the hose and cut the crimp out. Also the is a tip over valve at the tank where the hose attaches. It could be lodged. On this try smacking the tank at the opening/hose. A rubber mallet works great for this as you don't want to break the tank.

Our new Forester Diesel is ok But has no power at low revs when pulling away from standstil or moving slowly in 2nd and 3rd gears. Also main issue with this vehicle is the very slow and tractor like gear...

The forester diesel 6spd gear box is designed to replace the high low gear box so although starting off in second or third gear is possible .... puts a lot of strain on compents ie clutch/ gear box . very slow manuovering is much better carried out in 1st gear , as is moving from stationary . The engine torque is low dow the rev range high max idle is reached very quickly . The diesel engine characteristics are different to the petrol version ( I own 2.5 forester 2009 - 7.8l per km's @55000 km's). So you need to change your driving style to suit . I have test driven the 2.0l Diesel and sufficiently impressed to replace the 2009 version with the diesel .
