1,3,4,2 is the firing order. Look at distributor and picture an imaginary line in the center of it from top to bottom 1 is top left, 3 is top right, 4 is bottom right and 2 is bottom left. There are ony four possible combinations if you mix up the top and bottoms .Write down on a piece of paper how you set them up in the event you get it wrong you can try it a different way. I don't know whybut currently I can't get a picture of this to you .

Depends on what you are trying to do.

I have a 98 honda accord 5 spd it has a 4cyl motor vtech i just need to know how to fix a miss fire in cylinder 2 and wich one is cylinder 2

Cylinder #2 is the the second spark plug counting from the right to left.
EX.Below are spark plug on engine
' (oil cap) '
' (4) (3) (2) (1) '

Your misfire can be cause by couple of things but the cheapest way that you can try to fix your car is to do a tune up by replacing:
1)all spark plugs
2)do a oil change
3)spark plug wires
3)distributor cap and rotor

note misfire can be cause by:
1.bad gas
2.spark plug and/or wire
3.distributor cap and/or rotor
4.valve adjustment
5.injector timing
8.bad wiring(power, ground or feed line)

The sequence is 1342, ****............

The rotor of the distributor rotates clockwise as you look down into it, there should be a mark on the cap - or a raised area to locate the 2 / 1 meeting position.

start clockwise of the mark and the first point is plug 1, then 3 and so on till 4. after 4 you should feel / see the mark again.

91 honda accord ran out of gas now no spark

Check the ignitor, Honda uses a couple of different distributors, my 92 has the ignitor inside the distributor cap, w/ 4 wires attached (push on type). Pull off the wires (note where they all go) and remove one screw to remove ignitor (it's been a while since I changed it, there might be 2 screws, but it would be easy to see). If it's bad, you will have no spark. If this doesn't help, let me know, I'll try to help further.

I need the firing order for a 1987 Honda Civic 1500cc (carburated model). This car has a distributor, but the plug wires connect in a straight line rather than in circular fashion around the distributor...

I found an illustration for an 87 Civic 1.5L engine, carbureted. By the looks of it, it's 1-3-4-2 although this graphic shows a round cap. I see the Accord 2.0L does have the plugs in a line, not in a circle. Hope this helps!
