When i stopped all dash board lights came on and now wont start and has no power to anything

When vehicle stalls, the dash lites may come on.
Make sure battery has a full charge, battery connections all good. Make sure charging system is working properly.
Use a test lite and check voltage to fuse circuits in fuse box. Some fuses circuits are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on. Right now, I can't tell if you have problem with battery--battery connections--charging system--fusible links--ignition switch or what? You need to do some testing. Let us know what you find?

Battery overcharge

I would think that your vehicle has a voltage regulator built into the alternator, but I am not sure. I do not have alot of Jag experience. But this sounds like what your problem is. The voltage regulator is stuck and making the alternator put out full charge and wreaking havoc with your electrical system.

Battery fault on dash- alternator charge showing 14.6-altrnator itself ok

Batteries don't last forever. Change the battery. If the charging voltage is as described then your battery is not holding a charge. The only other thing it could be is a bad earth lead. But this is not likely.

2004 E150 van wont start. -5 degrees last night, battery is less than a year old and tests out OK according to NAPA test. When key is thrown, just a click is heard. Dash volt meter reads normal,...

START BY CLEANING THE BATTERY TERMINALS. NEG CABLE OFF FIRST THEN POSITIVE. CLEAN CABLES & TERMINALS PUT CABLES BACK ON & TIGHTEN POS. FIRST, NEGATIVE ON LAST & TIGHTEN. IF THAT DOESN'T DO IT. LOCATE STARTER RELAY ON FENDERWELL. TURN KEY TO START. MEASURE VOLTAGE AT STARTER RELAY. IT SHOULD READ NEAR 12 VOLTS. IF NOT CHECK NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH. THE STARTER MAY BE STUCK OR WORN AS A LAST RESORT HOLD IGNITION SWITCH IN START POSITION, AT THE SAME TIME TAP ON METAL PART OF STARTER WITH MEDIUM SIZE HAMMER. IF STARTER GOES AFTER HAMMER TEST, REPAIR OR REPLACE STARTER.

I HAVE A 2003 TRAILBLAZER IM HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE CHARGING SYSTEM,I CHANGE THE ALTERNATOR BUT IT STILL SHOW THE BATTERY GAUGE LOW CHARGE NEED HELP ON WHAT TO DO

You need to check the voltage at the battery itself, if the battery voltage is indicating in the area of 12.5 - 14.0 volts and your dash gauge does not agree, then the dash cluster has a bad stepper motor which drives the gauge.
If the battery voltage agrees with the dash gauge, and the alternator was changed and is assumed good, you need to check the wires going to the alternator, there may a broken connection.

What should the voltage on the battery be, on a 2004 VW Jetta ?

all batteries are 12 volt a battery is good shape 11.5 to 13 volts.
If your looking at the gauge on the dash with the car running this shows the voltage amount being sent from the alterantor to the battery which should always be above 12 and not more than 14

Brought new battery and installed but 2 months later battery dead and when i had it jumped it started but lights were flickering. Is this an alternator problem?

It sounds like one , but what lights were flickering? Headlights? Most of the time, the dash board will go crazy on you. If the check engine light didn't come on or the charge light, it could be the voltage regulator which is inside the alternator. You can check it without taking it out with a small volt meter, with the key off, check the voltage in the battery, should maintain 13.5 at all times. If it isn't, it isn't charging. But if you turn on the car and check the voltage , it should go up higher, check it out, if it doesn't, it isn't charging, take the alternator to a parts store and have it checked, I'm sure it will test bad. While you are checking the battery, make sure it is full of water. and make sure the terminals are clean, they won't charge up if dirty, and they won't start your car if dirty either. Hope this helps.

Dead battery or starter?

Take the battery out and have it charged up. reinstall it and you should be allright. Your car has discharged it completely, and it will need a recharge to start. The gauge is only measuring voltage, and not the status of charge.
