Where are my wires and plugs on my 2003 satrun l series wagon, this morning it started hesitating, accelarating & decelerating on its own, help

Wires are not going to do that. have the vehicle scanned for codes at Autozone (usually free) and we will take it from there.

My 91 honda accord drives fine,but after driving for a while it starts to hesitate and only drives when i accelerate and decelerate what's the problem?


If the car starts to hesitate at right around 2000 to 2300 RPMs then the EGR ports on the intake manifold need to be cleaned out. The exhaust gas is flooding only one cylinder and causing the hesitation(misfire of that flooded cylinder) since all the other ports are blocked off with carbon build-up. This happen right when the EGR valve opens, letting in the exhaust gas. To find out if this is indeed your problem, remove and plug up the rubber vacuum hose going into the EGR valve and drive the car. If it stops hesitating, that's the problem.

2003 Satrun Vue starts sputtering while accelarating, check engine light came on. Took to be checked and no code came through. What could cause this?


does it idle ok in park? and how does it act when you give it gas when park? is this problem only happen in drive

You state you changed plugs and wires - Do distributor cap & rotor? If not you should then set timing. That should cure hesitation (might change fuel filter also and run good fuel system cleaner through it)
Prob 2 - sounds like a u-joint or possible brake pad/rotor issue. Does the squeal only happen in mornings when cold? Sometimes after sitting overnight, rotors get condensation and when backing out they'll squeal/grind. Somethings to look at...

have you tried to manually decelerate the engine? you can find this is the engine were the engine connects to the accelerator wire.. you can actually manually decide at what rpm's you want your car.. dont go too low or your can can continuously turn off

2003 Ford Windstar 3.8 143k rough idle stalls & engine lite runs good after warmed up. Local yokel guessed at leaking intake gaskets. Any thoughts? burdfrenzy@tampabay.rr.com


I have a 2003 ford windstar.Engine started to run rough when it
used to rained.I would accelarate it until roughness would go away sort of.It lack a little power but if I take it a mechanic they would charged too much money.Anyway, the problem was a spark plug wire in front of the engine, wires that are grouped together with that little pin. One of them was rubbing agains the valve cover and it got worned out current would leak out right there.I discovery it one time that it rainned really hard I had to go out and the wagon started to miss really bad and it wouldn't move.Finally, I got home the next day I looked under the hood to see what I can see and there it was a spark plug wire that one can tell if you know a little bit about cars that current was leaking throw it. I replaced wire problem solved.But now after all of that snow we had the check engine light came on and I am not sure what could be.For I remmerber running over a mountain of sort of hard snow.So it probably broke oxigine sensor wire.

check, the spark plugs one by one and also check at night with zero light around and start the engine and check for spark plug wires shorting out, youll see the sparks fling all over if any wires are damaged. also check the fuel filter and last when was the last time that you replaced the catalic converter??

Won't start


Check the crank sensor... easiest way to test will be to remove a plug wire from the spark plug and place close to metal on the motor ... have some 1 turn the car over while you watch the end of the wire .... you will be looking for sparks to arc to the motor ... if nothing then you will need to replace the crank sensor. if this information helps please rate it ... if that is not the problem please let me know and we will figure it out together

Your cat is plugged, its not letting your exhaust leave the engine thus causing all these problems. You need to get it changed as soon as possible. You can get a shop to put in a universal one they are usually very cheep but do it soon. They can get hot enough to start a fire as you have already seen.

it could be your fuel filter clogged and/or fuel pump getting weak ... does it back fire ?
