Were is the k.a.m fuse on a 99 mercury cougar

that code is for the keep alive memory for the pcm. By itself this will not cause a no start situation. this code is kicked out when the keep alive power supply is interrupted. Check you battery terminals and clean them. Check ALL your fuses next. If all that checks out then off to a shop you go because they will have the knowledge and equipment to deal with a problem like this one. Good luck

Have a p 1249 code and a p 0475 code p0603 code on my f350 diesel.plugged it in on a odb2 scanner no codes but they show up on my hyper tech programmer i reset them and they come back whats up

if your using a generic code reader like from the local auto parts store, they won't retirieve powerstroke specific codes.

P1249 is wastegate control valve performance
P0475 is exhaust pressure control valve
P0603 is KAM (keep alive memory) error

Your truck has a back pressure valve that will close to aid in the warm up of the engine. Exhaust back pressure valve can stick and give the P0475. The P1249 might be related. If your disconnecting the battery to clear the codes that's where your getting the P0603. Your turbo need to come out and the back pressure valve ooked's in the turbo pedestal.

F350 7.3 code po603 need to know how bad or way

P0603 Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

Ford dealer Tech said to check for corrosion on the battery terminals, if
they’re good the check each battery individually to see if all cells are good.
If that still doesn’t solve it, he says to start pin testing the computer ????!!!??

P0603 doesn’t always mean you have a problem, if you are running any kind
of chip, programmer ,etc. you will get that code.
