Question about 2002 Acura MDX
2002 RL Acura Navigation screen is black
Posted on Jul 20, 2010
This is what I did in my acura mdx 2002 .
1.-remove the screen unit.
2.- disconnect the two plugs
3.- if you see on the back of the metal cover you will see to screw holes . Use one of those. If you look through the hole you will see that one of them the circuit board have nothing only the plastic there are no circuits running under this hole direction . Find a plastic bolt that fits on that hole and screw it in pushing the board down . Just a little bit not to much. Some times this board doesn't make good contact .
What I did to make sure it lights up . First I diconnect the battery then removed the screen to let me work. Add this bolt with no pressure connect the battery and check if the unit is bright if not screw the plastic bolt in little by little until you get the screen bright. Once you get it use crazy glue to keep the bolt on place only few drops on the tread not much. Hope this work for you.
