Im getting po60 po404 po507 po742 what dos t-hat mean is wrong i have a 2000 Pontiac grand prix gt

I think I would clear the codes and see how many come back.
Code 60 is a problem with one of the O2 sensors, code 404 is a problem with the EGR valve, code 507 is a problem with the engine idle speed, and code 742 involves the torque converter clutch. None of the codes are directly connected to each other.

Mercury grand marquis 2001 change spark plugs and coil but misfire code po305 still check light still on plus hestiating when accerlating on gas pedal

If you changed an individual ignition coil based on
a PO305 & that didn't resolve the issue, then either
the code didn't help & you have a different coil bad or

Put back the old coil on #5 & check codes again & walk
a new coil until you get the bad one or more

If you have a shop put a scan tool on it-- use Mode #06
to check misfire counts

Sometimes that doesn't get a really hit & miss coil & your
back to walking all those coils not replaced in the last couple

I looked it up and it shows that these engine have diff. sensors to comunicate with computer and possible exhaust and intake are diff.,
check it out, 94 has OBDI the 98 has OBDII
I put the engines next to each other and compair,
94 engines are all by it's self.

97 pont grand prix code po305 and engine miss fire

Hello fosch: My name is Roger and I will help you. The code p0305 is a cylinder specific misfire code. The cylinder is #5. This could be a bad plug, bad wire a problem in the cylinder or a bad injector. If the motor has the original plus and wires that would be a good place to start. Be sure to use quality parts. Easier to do the job once instead of twice. I would do a compression test on #5 cylinder while the plug is out. Any compression that is less then 100 psi. the cylinder will not fire. Should the compression be any less you will need to find the mechanical problem and repair it before you will fix the misfire problem. Should you need further help please just ask. I will be glad to assist you. Please rate the answer. This way i know it was helpful. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger

What years 3.1 engine will fit in 1998 pontiac grand prix

Unfortunately it's a (relatively) one year only engine (without major component changes). However, these will fit without those changes:

'97, '98, '99 Buick Century,

'98, '99 Lumina (car),

'98, '99 Grand Prix,

'99, Monte Carlo.

This is assuming that you have an (8th digit) "M" VIN. Off the top of my head.

How do i remove the stock intake box from my grand prix gt

Look for attachment bolts inside the air box under the filter at the bottom. ducts usually pull right out, just watch that you don't break or damage wiring etc.

How do I put in a radio lock code for a 98 Pontiac Grand Prix?

The radio comes with a preassigned lock code that must be obtained from Pontiac. They will need you to follow these steps to retrieve two sets of numbers for them to call GM and obtain the assign lock code for your radio. STEP ONE: Press number 2 and number 3 simultaneously. Hold until the first set of numbers appear. Then press the AM/FM button on the radio for the last set of numbers to appear. Give those numbers to Pontiac, and they will call for the radio lock code. They will also provide you the steps to enter that code to unlock your radio.
