Question about 1998 Chevrolet Blazer
The large wire is the "hot" output that goes to the larger lug on the backside of the alternator...be sure to remove the ground battery cable before attempting any repairs/replacement of the electrical system as to not cause a short...the other smaller diameter wires should be self explanetary, they are usually inserted into a plug which fastens to the side or rear of the alternator....that unit is called a "Delcotron Alternator" which has an internal voltage regulator built into it, refere to this type of alternator when replacing the unit.
