I have a 2005 dodge Magnum 2.7 what's the correct way to reconnect the starter wires there are three

Found this diagram. The starter bat terminal should be a bigger wire, two wires go there. You can see the color for the other wire all by itself.

On low reduction starter there are only 2 wires on standard starter there only 3. One is your hot wire red color coded black is ground and white the ignition switch. If there is more that it probably add on connection for accessories usually goes to hot wire to supply power.

I forgot where the wires go on the starter of my 2000 chevy cavalier

There should not be very many wires at that starter, and the positive battery cable along with any other wire(s) with a large 3/8 inch eyelet connector will connect to the main upper large terminal on the starter solenoid. There should be only one wire with a small eyelet connector (usually a purple or pink colored wire) and it will connect to the small terminal on the starter solenoid and is usually marked "S" next to the terminal. Also, if there was a ground strap attached at a starter bolt, then be certain that it gets re-attached to a starter bolt. Here is a diagram to help assist you, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

Trying to install a push button ignition need to know which two wires to run to the button, without having to spend hours tracing and guessing. A diagram showing the wires would be great.

Your switch has 4 terminals.

1. Red is the hot wire from the battery.
2. Dark Blue is the run wire. This wire powers PCM, and engine and well as all accessories when the key is on.
3. Yellow is the start wire. It powers the engine, ECU and starter circuit when the key is turned to start.
4. Last terminal is accessories. I don't know the color, but it will power the radio, blower, windows, mirrors, etc. when key is turned to ACC. Some diagrams of the switch are below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Need wiring diagram for a 1997 ford f 150 p/u 4wd

The field wire to the starter has a small eyelet connector that connects to the small terminal on the starter solenoid (sometimes marked "S").

All other wires have a large eyelet connector and they are all connected together with the battery cable to the large terminal on the starter solenoid (sometimes marked "BAT").

Sometimes the field wire to the starter is a push on type connector, and there would only be one obvious terminal on the starter solenoid that it could be connected to.

Subaru ea81 starter solenoid wiring diagram

Some starter solenoids are mounted on the fender near the battery and some are on the starter itself.

Typically the ones mounted on the fender have two larger posts and one smaller post. For the larger posts: One connects strait to the positive post on the battery. The other connects strait to the starter. The smaller post connects to the neutral safety switch which connects to the start position of the ignition switch. Here is a diagram. Make sure the solenoid is grounded good.

For the solenoid that is mounted on the starter: Connect the positive post of the battery to the large post on the starter. Connect smaller neutral safety switch/ignition switch wire to the smaller post.

Here is a diagram if you have both solenoids

Don't forget to hook backup any other wires that were hooked to the positive side of battery/solenoid like alternator wire etc.

My starter is connected but theres a copper ring connecter loose where does it go?

There should be a large power wire connected to the starter. Then close to it there should be a small bolt extending out of the starter. If there is nothing connected to that bolt then that might be where the connector you speak of goes to. Also some starter connections require that both the large diameter and the small wire be connected to the same post.
