First thing to check is the fuse box located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Remove the fuse box cover and look on the back side of it and you will see a diagram of what fuse controls the turn signals and what fuse controls the headlights. Remove the fuse and test it with a test light or look at it closely to see if it is burned or blown out. Replace it with the same colored fuse. If your lights are still not working after you change the fuses then you will need to replace the turn signal bulbs and headlight bulbs. Remove the plastic lens that covers the turn signal and twist the bulb off and look at it to see if it is broken or burned out. Replace it with the same number bulb

There are fuses under the hood on the driver's side and in the little panel on the left side of the dash with the dirver's door open and in the battery box under the rear seat. Each fuse panel has a list of the fuses, amps and what they feed. Look at the backside of the fuse box cover under your hood, it will have the diagram on what each fuse controls

Hi! You may have grounded wirings thats why the lights are busting up. First of all check the fuse of turn signals and headlights if they are blown. If they are, pleae replace them. If the headlights and turn signals still busted after replacement then you may need to see an auto electrician to have a hands on checking for the grounded wires causing the problem. Hope this helps and have a good one!

The switch is bad >
Each headlamp is individually fused so that battery voltage is applied to the individual lamps at all times through circuit 1640 for the LH headlamps and through circuit 1740 for the RH headlamps. When the headlamp switch is in HEAD, the ground is applied directly to headlamp switch through circuit 1750. When the headlamp switch is placed in LOW, ground is applied to the low beam headlamps through circuit 1201. When the headlamp switch is placed in HIGH, ground is applied to the high beam lamps and to the high beam indicator through circuit 1200. The high beam indicator is fused so that battery voltage is applied at all times through circuit 640.

The box you hear the click in is the daytime running lights control module .
Do you know how to do electrical testing using a DVOM- digital volt ohm meter or a test light ?

One of my turn signals wont work, both my headlights only work on highbeams

replace the high beam switch which causes this problem. Also clean the terminals for the directional light bulb. That will cause a negative continuity to the bulb

My headlights on my sunfire go off while driving

Right now, I'm thinking the head lamp switch assembly has a problem? See the wire color in the top of head lamp, that is voltage, fuse protected, hot all the time. When problem is ongoing, you could use a test lite, check for voltage at fuse circuit?
The headlamp switch assembly is located on headlamp ground circuit. There could be a wiring problem, somewhere. I can only help with testing.

just look for the blackened/burned pin on the rear light plastic connector and sand it down to re-establish a good electrical connection and save yourself $800 big ones on replacing the multiswitch.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL FUSE.IT COULD BE BLOWED OR YOU HAVE FAULTY TURN SIGNAL SWITCH.BECAUSE BACK LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS SHARE SAME CIRCUIT WITH TURN SIGNAL SWITCH.

98 ford lariat. Headlights stopped working. running lights come on and brake lights and turn signals. checked all fuses under dash and under hood, pulled out headlight switch and it looks fine. note only...

Is this both the high beams and low beams that do not work ?

If you checked all 3 fuses with a meter ( with the headlamp in Low position for both low beam fuses or in high for the high beam fuse ), the next items to test are the MFS ( MultiFunction Switch ) and the main headlamp switch ( test not look at it ).

Sounds like the jolt from the barrier has caused a bad ground to occur. Look for a bad ground wire around the left headlamp in or around the headlight bucket.
Tighten or replace the bad ground wire. A poor contact will cause the headlight to light dimly.
