Relay #46 in the underhood fuse panel is probably bad. You can verify this by swapping it with relay #45. Also, sometimes the relay contacts become corroded, check these when you have the relay out.

4wd switch is a push button select, they are known to go bad on occasion. Take switch out of dash is not fun, would suggest taking it to a dealer.

Window motors can be replaced without extensive tools or knowledge. It takes more time to get the door panel off than replace the motor.

Yes, bad wheel bearings will cause aligment problems. They can be replaced at home, you will need to remove the wheel, brake assembly, brake mounting bracket, then the wheel bearing (hub) itself. Does require an 18mm wrench and socket (not common in your tool kit) and a 31mm (Ibelieve) socket for the nut on the end of the drive axle. Impact wrench recommended to remove that nut.
Reverse for assembly. Then have your wheels aligned. Best to replace both sides, (they are a different part # for driver and passenger side) They usually only last 60K to 100K miles.

P0106 - MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance ProblemOBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description

Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem

What does that mean? The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP) to monitor engine load. (NOTE: Some vehicles have a Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor that is integral to the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor and do not have a MAP sensor. Other vehicles have a MAF/BARO and a redundant MAP sensor where the MAP sensor functions as a backup input in case of MAF failure.) The PCM supplies a 5 Volt reference signal to the MAP sensor. Usually the PCM also supplies a ground circuit to the MAP sensor as well. As the manifold pressure changes with load, the MAP sensor input informs the PCM. At idle the voltage should be 1 to 1.5 Volts and approximately 4.5 Volts at Wide Open Throttle (WOT). The PCM looks for any change in manifold pressure to be preceded by a change in engine load in the form of changes in throttle angle, engine speed, or Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) flow. If the PCM doesn't see any of these factors change while detecting a rapid change in MAP value, it will set a P0106.
Causes A P0106 could be caused by:

  • Bad MAP sensor
  • Water/dirt intrusion affecting MAP sensor connector
  • Intermittent open in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor
  • Intermittent short in the reference, ground, or signal wire for the MAP sensor
  • Ground problem due to corrosion causing intermittent signal problem
  • A break in the flexible air intake duct between the MAF and the intake manifold
  • Bad PCM (do not assume the PCM is bad until you've exhausted all other possibilities)
Possible Solutions Using a scan tool, watch the MAP sensor value with the key on, engine off. Compare the BARO reading with the MAP reading. They should be roughly equal. The voltage for the MAP sensor should read approx. 4.5 volts. Now start the engine and look for a significant drop in the MAP sensor voltage indicating the MAP sensor is working.
If the MAP reading doesn't change perform the following:
  1. With the Key on, engine off, disconnect the vacuum hose from the MAP sensor. Using a vacuum pump, pull 20 in. of vacuum on the MAP sensor. Does the voltage drop? It should. If it doesn't inspect the MAP sensor vacuum port and vacuum hose to manifold for a restriction of some kind. Repair or replace as necessary.
  2. If there are no restrictions, and the value doesn't change with vacuum, then perform the following: with the Key on and engine off and the MAP sensor unplugged, check for 5 Volts at the reference wire to the MAP sensor connector with a Digital Voltmeter. If there is none, check for reference voltage at the PCM connector. If the reference voltage is present at the PCM connector but not the MAP connector, check for open or short in the reference wire between MAP and PCM and retest.
  3. If reference voltage is present, then check for existing ground at the MAP sensor connector. If it isn't present then repair open/short in the ground circuit.
  4. If ground is present, then replace MAP sensor.
Other MAP sensor trouble codes include P0105, P0107, P0108 and P0109.
P0128 OBD-II Trouble Code Technical Description

Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)
What does that mean? This means that the engine's PCM detected that the engine has not reached the required temperature level within a specified amount of time after starting the engine. The intent of the P0128 code is to indicate a faulty thermostat. Similar codes: P0125
In determining the engine did not reach a "normal" temperature, it takes into account the length of time the vehicle has been running, the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor reading, the engine coolantmag-glass_10x10.gif temperature (ECT) sensor reading, and the speed of the vehicle.

Causes A code P0128 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

  • Low engine coolant level
  • Leaking or stuck open thermostat
  • Faulty cooling fan (running too much)
  • Faulty coolant temperature (ECT) sensor
  • Faulty intake air temperature (IAT) sensor
Possible Solutions Past experience indicates that the most likely solution is to replace the thermostat. However here are some suggestions on troubleshooting and repairing a P0128 OBD-II code:
  • Verify coolant strength & level
  • Verify proper cooling fan operation (check if it's running more than it should). Replace if necessary.
  • Verify proper engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor operation, replace if necessary.
  • Verify proper intake air temperature (IAT) sensor operation, replace if necessary.
  • If the above items check out good, replace the thermostat

You need to do a window reset. Its in your owners manual

? A driver side window will not fully close automatically under following the conditions:
? The battery has been disconnected during vehicle maintenance or for other reasons.
? The power window main switch connector, or driver-side power window motor connector has been
? Carry out the following procedure to resume operation:
1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
2. Press the driver side power window main switch and fully open the driver side window.
3. Pull up the driver side power window main switch to manual-up position to fully close the driver side window,
and keep holding the switch up at the position for about 2 seconds to complete initial setting.


? By following the procedure below, the two-step down function is switched to non-operative when it is
operative, and to operative when it is non-operative.

Turn the Ignition on
Within 5 sec
perform the auto open two times
perform the auto close two times

turn the ignition off and within 40 seconds and repeat the above sequence.

Repeat for all the windows.

What could be wrong with the power window switches

Do all the windows work from this switch? Could be the switch not sending power to the others. But, All Jeeps are bad for window regulators.

Shorting window switch

Vehicle? Do all the windows work when the switch is replaced? How long does it last? Are one of the other switches stuck in position?Do all the other swicthes seem okay?On gm they all run through drivers side. Some systems are different. From the drivers side to say the passenger side front there are two wires that switch polarity between up and down. one wire is negative for up and positive for down, the other wire acts exact opposite. the other system the motor is grounded and there is a positive for up and a positive for down and no ground runs through. but I would say a bad door seal somewhere(bottom of driver window,at hinge tube conduit, or between door and vehicle up by windshield as water will follow seal around to inside of door)of if its a ford could be a gem module problem.

Hi,i have lexus rx350 year 2007.the power window control on the driver side doesn't work for the other 3 windows,but all 3 windows can power by passenger side and in the back side. thankyou

I am a little confused about what you are saying here, but I think you are saying that no windows work from the drivers door master window switch except the drivers door window, and that the switchs at each of the three other doors operate the windows ok? Is this correct?

I cannot get my back windows to roll up or down on my p71 from the back seat ive tried plugging in by the drivers side seat still nothing

Electric window circuits are complicated, so you MUST leave all switches connected for the system to function.
Now each switch does two jobs.
It switches power to one side of the motor and ground to the other. To make the motor rotate in the other direction, we simply reverse the power and ground connections. But if you disconnect one of the switches, especially the main bank for the driver, you will lose supply and ground continuity so leave all switched connected.
Have you checked the fuses or circuit breakers.?
Some vehicles have a fuse or breaker for each window.
Have you checked the child protection switch..?
This switch turns the rear windows off to prevent a child from opening the window and maybe falling out of a moving vehicle. If this switch is in the off position, the rear windows will not operate
In some vehicles, this switch will prevent the rear switches from working but the driver can still operate the windows, in some vehicles, this switch will prevent the rear windows from operating at all.
Trying to describe the operation of the circuit and how to test it would be fruitless through here so my advice would be to seek qualified help if the child switch is not the problem.
Each switch in the system switches two circuits and as such must operate correctly or you may find that fuses begin to fail as you switch each window circuit.

Check for power at the window control switch. If a-ok. Then check the relay. If everything is a-ok you basically need a new switch/ controller aka switch.

How to remove a driver side window switch

no. the drivers switch is the MASTER switch and not like the others. if the window goes up but not down, most likely the switch. get inside the car and open the door, as you are holing the window switch down, slam the door shut a few times, sometimes this will "jar" the window motor loose if it is stuck. if it works ok now, the window motor is jamming and will need replacement. another trick is to carefully watch the dome light as you are working the switch, if you push the switch down, and the dome light dims "slightly", the switch is good and the motor is stuck.

The passenger side windows on 2003 silverado will not operate. I am not with the truck. Is there a fuse? I am not with the truck to inspect.

The fuse will also operate all the power windows, so if the others work the fuse is ok. This vehicle has high failure rate of the switch & the regulator.
Make sure the window "lock-out" switch on the drivers door allows all the other window to roll up at there own switch.
