Make sure fluid is full. You may have to tap on the resovoir if the switch is stuck because fluid was low.

1995 geo prizm ebrake light is on. Is this a faulty sensor? I heard it could have an brake indicator wire that makes contact with to let you know youre pads need to be changed.

Your brake pads don't have any kind of wire going to your brake pads that will make the brake light come on, check your master cylinder for low on brake fluid, if low look in back of tire's for wetness, if none, top of master cylinder with DOT 3 brake fluid, and have your brake pads checked for wear.

2006 grand vitara brake lights comes on when accelerating from stop

check under your steering column brake switch has to be loose and when you push the gas pedal something in that area is touching the brake switch causing lights to come on.

Changed brake pads and fluid. Brake light/ABS light still lit.

Go back around and check to make sure you didnt accidentally pinch or cut a brake pad sensor. Also the ABS modules on VAG cars are pretty crappy.

Yellow DSC and Brake light on... recently changed brake pads

Abs and dsc are related and with the light on these won't work. It is possible that you need to go back to where the work was done to look this over.

I have a 2005 mazda 6 and i know i need to change my brake pads. While i was driving home from work the brake light came on.I know this aint good but what exactly does that mean?

fi your brake fluid gets low it will cause the light to come on. being that you need pads this is probably why.As the pads wear down the caliper needs more fluid in it.If you top off now you will have fluid pushing out of master cylinder when you change pads as you press pistons back in.

BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

Its not an electrical problem . . .. . When you change brakes you have to change the brake sensor as well. . . . . It just looks like a piece of wire with a sensor that clips onto the pad . . . . .Normally it is the outerpad. . . I cant tell you on witch sides its on cause it may differ from model to model.

Its not going to be a hazardous to the car the brake light will just keep burning.

If you replace the sensor and t he light does not stop burning it may be that your front brakes are also worn but remember just as at the back there is a sensor at the front.

On one of the front driver side pads there is a sensor for low pads. He either did not hook it back up or got a lose connection to it.
