I have 05 ford tarus it's giving me code P1633 and po511. I could start the car but it won't stay on. you could give it some gas and it sounds like air is coming from somewhere. we checked all the gaskets. codes tell me auxiliary transmission fluid temp sensor curcuit low input and output shaft speed sensor circuit range performance. what does that mean and how do i fix it?

Has there been a collision recently? not sure why transmission problem would make engine not run. what do you mean it sounds like air is coming from somewhere? sounds like there is a problem in wiring harness. Ford has had a lot of problems with water getting into harnesses. not sure if this is you but the problem sounds that way unless you have been in a recent collision that could have damaged wiring. please reply and i will be watching my emails

Actually p1633 is code for loss of power for KAM-keep alive memory to computer and p0511 is idle air control motor problem.

Sounds like you may have a wiring issue

99 Ford Escort ZX2 2.0L Car will start but won't stay running unless you keep giving it gas

I had the same problem. My car sat for a few days and when i went to start it i heard an extremely loud pop (kind of like a backfire). After that it would start and sound fine, but die 2 seconds later. Thank god my bf is a mechanic he knew instantly that the pcv valve hose that connects to the intake manifold unplugged itself. He plugged it back in and it runs fine now. I didnt however get a check engine light, but i only tried to start it twice before he fixed it because i was scared it jumped time.

What the P1633 code for ford explorer xlt

Ford code P1633 means: Keep Alive Power Voltage Too Low

It has a cheek enigen on and give the code P1633

When the Taurus PCM (Powertrain Control Module)(aka "the car's computer"), sees 9V DC (or less),
it sets the code P1633, so it means your battery's voltage was low recently. But since the computer
retains the code until it is reset, the battery voltage may be OK now. This is typical for cars
that have sat for awhile, and the tiny current drain of the clock slowly drains the battery until
the voltage drops below 9 Volts. Normal car Battery voltage is 12 Volts.
Fix: check the battery (with a DMM (digital multimeter)), and reset the code (with a code reader).
Workaround: have Advance/Autozone/PepBoys check the battery (free) and ignore the code.

2000 taurus duratec has problems staying running when you first start it.the rpms drop and the car stalls out. i have to give it gas and keep giving gas to keep it running for about 5 min then it runs...

sounds like you are running lean , i would start by changing the fuel filter and check for fuel pressure using a fuel pressure guage at the shrader vavle on your fuel rail, if your fuel pressure is not above 35psi when you cycle your key on and you have changed the fuel filter i would recommend changing the fuel pump,

Car stalls at stop signs

will it re-start right back up?
next time try to keep your foot on the gas pedal to see if it stay running ( be careful when you do this, if you give too much gas the car will over come the brake and cause accident )
if it stay running then you need to replace an idle air control valve

Code p72o & p1618 &p1633 on my s80

the P720 (which i'm guessing is suppose to be a P0 or 170 means its transmission related...i dont know what the 20 stands for thats the exact specific code/problem but it gives you an idea...the two P1600 codes are Manufactur made and they are both about PCM-Auxiliary Devices..

So i'm guessing that the one that is making your car not move is the P700 code..

hope that gets you started
