2000 bonneville starts then dies. Check engine light on

Could be a number of things. If your car starts first thing in the morning and stalls shortly after, only to start again after it sits for an hour, it would be a classic example of a clogged catalytic converter. If it never starts back, I would check the fuel pressure, sounds to me like it could be a clogged fuel filter, faulty fuel pump relay or faulty fuel pump. If you have enough fuel pressure, check for a faulty coil, ignition module, or map sensor vacuum leaks.

2000 pontiac bon 3800 not getting all volts to number 1 cyclinder got new plug and new injector fuse good reading about 3 4 amps all other are at11 to12

have you replaced the spark plug wire? If so, have the coil checked. Usually it is a bad plug wire that makes it run poorly.

Hope this helps.

Starts and stalls - mostly when engine is warm.. on occassion the engine would run rough when it's idling down at slower speed and then the engine would run run - similar to start up's.

your ignition coils packs are getting bad as well as it needs a tune up (spark plugs, wires) if those are not the case then its computer related issues.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville. I have been having trouble getting it to start, but usually after 3 tries, it will start. Sometimes it will shut off while I am driving it. The service garage has replaced...

The next time the vehicle does not start you need to test fuel pressure. if you have none or very low pressure under 40psi on pressure gauge you more than likely have a faulty fuel pump or at least a fuel related problem. Based on this complaint I never would have replaced the above mentioned parts. Complete waste of money. When ever you have an extended crank issue always check fuel pressure first. More than likely it is taking a few cranks to build enough fuel pressure to start the vehicle. Watch this quick video and it will show you some basic testing for no start diagnostics.

1998 Pontiac Bonneville SLE will turns over but will not run

I would check to see if the spark plugs are fouled. Or you might have a bad ignition control module (mounted under the coil packs). Auto Zone can test the ignition control module.
