In the I/P fuse panel, check 7.5A FUSE 2
In the engine compartment fuse/relay box, check the 40A BLOWER MOTOR FUSE and blower motor relay
Also check the blower switch, the blower motor resistor, and the blower motor.

Is there a blower motor relay or fuse on a 1995 Mazda Protege lx?

That fuse sounds like it powers the ac compressor.
The blower motor usually takes a 30 amp fuse.
Does the blower motor work if you hook it to direct voltage ?

My front blower fan stopped blowing, what simple fix might it be?

read some of the suggested solutions about the resistor pack which is built in in most vehicles so its a complete new motor only thats sold ,but the front one i would still expect it to work on high unless the switch is faulty so check it out with a meter first to see if it has power as the front one may have popped a fuse as fuses can go with age without their being a fault with the electrics

I am trying to figure out which relay is for the front blower motor. anyone know?

Look ion the INSTRUMENT PANEL Fuse Box, there are two blower motor relays and two fuses, look on the inside of the relay cover for a diagram. The relay you are looking for should be labeled FRONT BLOWER MOTOR RELAY and the rear one should say AUXILIARY BLOWER MOTOR RELAY.
The TWO fuses with the same name on passenger compartment fuse box check:
  • fuse #39 30A fuse. AUXILIARY BLOWER MOTOR
  • fuse #36 30A fuse. AUXILIARY BLOWER RELAY

Check the blower resistor and the connector. The tend to fry the terminals together. You can get a connector and install it yourself fairly easily.

If the blower isn't working there are a few options.

Look in your fuse box under the dash on the drivers side and check the fuse that should be marked blower motor.

Next, The blower motor relay will be in a long rectangular box, near the battery. It will have a cover with a couple little clips that you have to squeeze to get it off. The lid of the box on the inside will have a diagram that tells you which relay is for the blower motor. If there is another relay with the same number on the back, you can swap it and see if the blower works. That's the easier way to see if that's the problem.

If it's none of those, then it's probably the blower motor itself. I would check to see if it's getting power before you replace it though. It could be the fan control switch on you dash too, but they don't go bad as often.
