How do I diagnose a blower fan that is not working

check for power and ground at the motor wire connections. if you have both then its probably the blower motor. you can try and hit the motor with it turned on to see if it will try to turn and if so the motor again needs replacing.

Problem with Replacing (front) Blower Motor in a 2001 Chrysler Voyager. It's important to know that the proces to do this changed from what it was up to the 2000 model in 2001. My mechanic said the labor...

2001 had an early and a late production design for this HVAC unit. I just did one the other day and from what you are describing you have the early design. If the recirculation door raps around the bottom of the blower than you for sure have the early design. The labor time to replace the blower motor on this design is over 6 hours. It does require the removal of the dash to remove the HVAC housing so that you can finally remove that one screw up near the firewall that you cannot get to. Believe me I tried for about 1/2 hour to get at it. I have about 60,000 dollars invested in tools and over 15 years of experience, it cannot be done without either pulling the air box or breaking the housing where that screw attaches it to the air box.

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

2000 Chrysler Voyager blower motor replacement

When the Blower Motor Resistors on Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth go out, the motor will work on High only.
They have made it a lot easier than the 80's models. I suggest buying a Haynes Manual or Chilton Manual available at most auto part stoes. They have step-by-step directions with diagrams and photos.
Based on your description: the motor is on it's way to total failure.

Replace blower motor 1998 plymouth voyager

it is located behind and below the glove box,you might want to remove the glove box assembly to see it easier,
there are four screws holding a blower motor cover you to take off first, now remove the screws holding the blower motor up,disconnect the motor wires.
if your changing this because you think its bad,you should test the blower motor wires with a test light with the key on and blower switch turned on.if you have power in the wires, then it is bad.
but if you have no power in wires it could be blower motor resister,or switch.

I have a 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The control for the blower motor only works in the last position. I got a new controller and plugged it in and tried it but that didn't fix the problem. Any ideas?

This really sounds like you have a blower motor resistor that has failed. The blower motor resistor is located almost right next to the physical blower motor itself mounted on the eveporator case...(same case the blower motor bolts onto). When these fail it only allows on side of the resistor to let current pass through the pigtail to to motor....hence being stuck on one it low or high...get back to me if you have any more questions... HOPE I COULD HELP!!!
