You can usually look on oil filler cap and it will say but most gm cars take 5-w-30.

Look at the oil fill tube cover(where you add the oil),the oil required should be built into the cap, usually 5w20 or 5w30 .G.M. will recommend their own dexron brand, but any quality oil of either of these viscosities will work fine and may even be superior to the dealers oil.

SOURCE: What kind of oil does

The company recommendation can be seen on the oil fill tube cover. They recommend for 5w20 and 5w30 type of oil . They also have the own brand recommendation written there.

But my personal recommendation would be to go to 10w 30 type (if you are not living in ares where temperature falls below freezing conditions).

Go to any auto parts store, like Autozone or Kragen and ask them and they will give the right one. But be ready about the model, year, how many cylinder or size of the engine of your car. You can find all these on your Users manual or your registration. ok

seems like your oil pressure switch gave up, its located on the side of the oil filter, you can take it out and test with a amp meter. it should cost you less than 20 bucks to buy something like that.

Oil Pan? Oil Pump? LEAK!! HELP!

Quad 4 parts shouldn't be hard to find look up the quad4fourms.com and see what they can get you. The pan is a pain to change. I would pressure wash the engine and go from there. How much oil is your car using?
