I checked them and can find anything physically wrong with them, its a constant noise even when im driving straight and it also makes the car vibrate especially while driving fast

  • existtoexit May 07, 2010

Well it still vibrates when i put in neutral or let of gas, I have been told that its most likely a wheel bearing but I dont think so, when the car is jacked up I can grab the tire and it has about three inches where it moves in all directions.

  • existtoexit May 08, 2010

yea i can grab it moves, its only on the front right side

  • existtoexit May 08, 2010

Thank you very much, so I wont be able to change wheel bearing myself? ill have to find a new hub with a bearing in it?

sound like common complaint for axle issue outer joints cause noise and inner joints cause vibration harder acell. when you let off or put in neutral vibration almost stops

  • JIMMY SMITH May 07, 2010

on both sides?? if you grab top and bottom of tire it should not move any w/pulling out at top and pushing in at bottom and vise versa on the front if it does check other side may need wheel bearings let me know...

  • JIMMY SMITH May 08, 2010

you have the problem needs a hub, bearing, and seal kit if not a sealed unit this job requires a 20 ton press and experience very danagerous good luck

  • JIMMY SMITH May 10, 2010

you will have to buy them as two parts and have them installed im not as possitive on yhis car i work on and for toyota however think they are the same good luck

I have a 93 Geo Storm it has a squeaking noise in the front end, the brakes work great but just started this anyone know what it might be. thanks

If the squeak is constant, then it is likely the tab on the brake pads making contact with the rotor. It is an audible warning that your brake pads are getting thin. It is easy to check. just jack up one of your front wheels, place car on a jack stand, remove tire and inspect the relationship between the pads and the rotor. Be careful not to inhale brake dust. Most pads contain asbestos , a known cause of cancer. A dust mask would be a good idea.

Good Luck!

My valves are bent on my 93 Geo Storm. How much to replace?

For a price you will need to call a repair shop. Yes, the head gasket will need replacement, you are going to have the head off, It may cost more than the car is worth.

93 geo needs a jump to drive and dies when running

Get a voltmeter, place the positive lead on the lug off of the alternator, or on the pos. battery terminal when running. ground to chassis or body. ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE: 13.5 or higher at 1500RPM is minimum

My sister broke her only key for her 93 geo storm

I believe that the Geo is made/ sold by Chevy, they should be able to cut a new key. if not then try contacting the local car rental companies, (Alamo, National, etc.) as that they can, (sometimes!), make new keys from the VIN numbers. (I used to work for some of them!) good luck!
