The car is using power overnight, so that the battery has drained by morning. Make sure every light is turned off when you leave it.

Could it be the fuel pump?

Thanks YellowFury, it might be, will check the fuel pressure and since the fuel pump may not have ever been replaced, may need a new one. Checking the computer tonight, finally bought the truck and had it brought it home on a trailer, didn't want to risk it breaking down. Sometimes computers will cause the vehicle to stop, however, computers don't usually allow the vehicle to start up again. Didn't find any vacuum leaks and it doesn't overheat at all, will keep checking. Thanks again for your suggestion.

Someone attempted to steal my 1998 Savana Conversion van, I had the steering column replaced and now it still won't stay started, and a security light is on the dash board. Is there a fuel pump reset...

Hi, the security system has to learn the new key resistor in the new column. If you try to start it, leave the key on for 10 mins, the security light will go off. Turn the key off, try to start it again, and release the key. The light will come back on again. Wait another 10 mins, intill the light goes out again. (leaving the key on). This has to be done 3 times total of 30 mins. When the light goes out a 3rd time, the vehicle should start, and run. Remember to turn off the headlamps, heater, radio, etc... as they consume power, and you do not want to kill the battery. Good luck...Coop

Have to unhook battery for 2002 monte carlo to start

sounds like you have a bad ground. There should be a motor ground on the back of the motor anas well as the battery ground. The battery going dead could be caused by this or a bad regulator in the altenator unplug the altenator to check this for the starting problem

1990 nissan sentra wont start

It seems you have a timing problem. Have the engine timed properly. If that does not work it could be a craked rotor or distributor cap. have all these checked.
