Oil capacity - 2001 Jaguar XJ8

You may very well be correct but Auto Zone's web site list a 2001 XJ8 4 Liter at 6.9 quarts with filter change which is all I can go by. Surely anyone would check the oil level after they changed the oil. They would then know if it was 1 quart shy of full as you say it is. Maybe the person who asked the question will post back and let us know for sure. I suspect you are correct considering you have first hand knowledge.
