How do you change an ac compresser on a 2005 ford taures

    Mr. Zapp:

    The compressor is the problem. A Ford dealer repair shop diagnosed the problem. My uncle has the necessary items to remove the refrigerant. and the license needed to get the freon. However he is retired, and a service garage licensed, is doing the work. TNX for the answer

First-what tests were done to determine it is damaged?
Second- if it is,there is a lot more work that goes into flushing the system ,etc, as a result of the compressor failure.
Third- unless you have the knowledge and equipment and are licenced to purchase refrigerant,you have to take it to a shop

To answer your question,it is just an item that is held on with a couple of bolts, and as you would be aware,has two refrigerant hoses bolted to it.
In most cases,you access it , most easily from the bottom of the vehicle

2004 ford taures needs ac recharge were do i connect new can of coolent


you always connect fitting to low pressure side. the cap has a " L " on it. the fittings with freon only fit the low side connection. follow hoses back from a/c pump and you will find the low pressure fitting. have a good day !

How to exchange rear tail light assembly on 2003 taures


open the trunk remove the scuff plate that is located on the back part of the trunk closest to you. then pull the carpet back on the side that you are trying to get to and remove the three or four nuts holding the light assembley in. pull the assembley away from the body then disconnect the bulbs from the assembley. thay should just turn and come out socket and all.
