Question about 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

2001 chevy silverado loses charge at about 2500rpms

I have a 2001 chevy silverado and it is losing amp at about the 2500rpm range. I put a new alternator in it about 2 months ago so not sure it that is the problem or if the voltage regulator is the problem. I had the alternator tested at auto zone and it tested fine so i am not sure what to do at this point. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Thank You
Jason

ok you might want to check and see if the ground wire is tight on the alternator and the battery

Idles fine cuts out at 2500rpms will not get past 2500rpms

The mass air flow sensor, on passenger side of throttle body, if that is disconnected or faulty, the engine will cut out at 2500rpm. And act like its bouncing off the rev limiter.

2006 chevy silveado 2500hd 6.ol 92,000 miles no oil pressure!

Oil pressure is created by the oil pump, the main bearings and cam bearings. If these bearing are worn, excessive clearance, you will lose oil pressure. The rattling could be a rod bearing or wrist pin. You could try installing a "wet gauge" and check the oil pressure against the OEM specs, at different RPMS.

My 92 chevy silverado a/c light is flashing and the a/c doesn't work now

if you know system for a fact has full charge, The low pressure switch will keep ac from engageing, thus shut the system back off. it is simple to replace it is on the reciever dryer under hood on passenger side a silver cylinder you will see a switch like plug on the dryer this is a common problem.and they just unscrew and usually have a valve underneath that keeps you from losing freon if you remove quickly.

My truck loses power

In most cases it is the fuel filter. I don't know when it was changed before, but it should be changed at least every 8-10 k miles. Make sure you change the air filter too.
