I have a 1991 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5L V-8. The transmission is nit shifting into 3rd gear from second properly. Also the rpms are high from 50 km/h to 90 km/h when 4th gear engages. When scaned the code...

My truck had a shift problem from2nd to 3rd. I was ready to buy a solenoid package for it. ( which is what you have to buy, you can't get the solenoids by themselves, several hundred dollars) Someone recommended tranX to me. I put it in and within three days the transmission quit slipping, it's been over two years now and it hasn't missed a lick. It was a ten dollar fix, compared to $300.00 that the package was going to cost. not including any labor to install

1998 GMC K1500 Sierra X-Cab Z71, Concerning the A/C - Heater. The fan blows good just doesn't open the heater core valve to let the heat in, it stays cold,How can I fix it ?

the heater sustem is run off of a vacum from the engine, there are actuators that open and close the "valves" pull the vacume lines off one at a time( the coloured hoses) and find out if you have either no vacum or an actuator un hinged from the "valve" door.
this should narrow it down for you message me back and we can work it out.

Try vacum bleeding with a vacum pump from any parts store. You definitely have air somewhere and vacum bleeding usually works and you can do it by yourself.
