Thanks, new fuel filter, it will now fire once in awhile but wont stay running.Ran for 10 seconds and died.Is it possible the injectors could be pluged up? If so can i take the rail off and check for spray out of the injectors?. I did take the line off both sides of the rail and im getting gas to the rail.

I chainged the fuel filter,i have also disconnected both lines going into the injector rail to check for fuel. The line where the injector cleaner gets screwed on has gas ,the line towards the fire wall has alot of gas flow when you turn over the engine.Could the injectors br pluged up? If so how do i clean them out? without taking the car in (being towed into a garage)...Thanks.Plugs were carboned up but i had spark..

Check a few things, check your spark plugs, spark plug wires, also check your fuel filter, fuel pump, but the first thing that you should check is the ground wire from your battery to the engine block

At Kragen or any auto parts store they have both a throttle body cleaner and a fuel injection cleaner to clean the injectors. Yes it is possible that they are clogged, and you can clean them with these products. Once you know that they are clogged. It might be recommended to just take it apart and do a little more heavy duty cleaning on them

How to fix a1998 buick century to start fuel filter new and airfilter turning over but not starting gets gas

Did you check for spark? It sounds like you're not getting spark. Check for spark. If you are not getting spark then it sounds like you might have to replace the coil packs. Is it running a L4 engine? If its running a standard chevy L4 its probably the coil packs. Try to replace them check again for spark.

Sounds like your fuel pump is weak so i would check the fuel pressure first. The fuel pressure should be 40-47 psi with key on and engine off and 31-44 psi with engine running. If its not within these specs then replace the fuel pump.

It sounds to me like the fuel system is not getting primed during the initial start up. By cycling the key several times, the fuel pump has time to deliver enough fuel to start the engine. The inexpensive way to go at this point is to change the fuel filter. It is cheap and one of the first things to check. Hope this helps.

Well Mike" a few things to check could be Breather on fuel tank /fuel return to tank pipe/ as pump can pump high pressure and excess has to return to tank and it sounds like yours is overfueling./take air cleaner off and all pipes and check for any thing partly blocking air flow/also check any black hoses coming from the engine breathers/going to air in take/make sure all cylinders got good compression

1990 Buick Century 3.3L Check Engine Light comes on, stalls.

Need to check for fault codes. Possibly a faulty sensor causing the fuel system to run rich or lean.
