SOURCE: How To Change Rear Brake Pads on Audi A6 2006

Remove the tires, Remove the calaper bolts, (small heads on them 12mm or so) Remove calaper, Pads are setting in a holder. Lube new pads with litheum grease and place in holder. (look at old pads, one or both may have small metel tab on one end) If the new pads have the tab, put that pad where the old pad with the tab was. (ie. tab to the inside) Press pistion in with a 'C' clamp. If it won't go in easly, it may screw in. If the parking brake cable is hooked to the calaper, it probly screws in. Use large pliers to screw in calaper piston. Place calaper over pads and install bolts (lube bolts) Rember to pump brakes befor driving . to get a solid peddle.

SOURCE: 2006 Kia Spectra 5 rear brake disc replacement

you need a special tool avalable at most parts stores. its a disc brake piston turning tool. you have to rotate piston clockwise while pushing in on piston. you can fabricate something that enguages the slots and push and turn till all the way in.make sure to note position of slots and put them in same place as was before or the pin on the pads wont enguage the slot

Rear rotor will not come off kia sorento 07

You only have two possiblities

The lip on both sides of the rotor that
the pads are hung on & rust from never
removing all rust from hub & using anti-seize

You have to take apart brakes once a year to
get rid of rust, even if no other attention is needed

If the pads are out-- hit the rotor with 2x4 to break the rust

How to replace brake pads for a kia sorento 2006

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the sight. Once the tire is off, all you do is take the bolts out of the caliper. There should be two bolts. Once they are out, the caliper will come off and you should be able to fit the pads into the caliper and put the caliper back on. When you take off the caliper, don't mix the top bolt from the bottom. The top fits the top and the bottom bolt fits the bottom. This is for your front brakes. I am not sure if the back brakes are the same or you have drums.
