Question about Hyundai Motor 1998 Accent
Hi. My 1998 1.5 Mvi has developed a whining noise which appears to be coming from the front off-side.
At first, the noise only started when reversing, but it also now happens in forward gear, usually in 2nd or 3rd at low speed in either a straight line or on a bend. It is louder when in reverse gear though. The noise stops when the vehicle is stationary. Thanks.
If the noise happens when car is in park and you rev it to about 1500rpm's then its thebearing in the oil pump of the torque converter. It should make noise all the time even in park ideling. You may need a rebuild transmission. Have the vehicle checked out at a transmission repair shop
