I think any parts store can get it for you.

But if you asking for location of the component , then it's a different story.
All b/m resistors(any car) located around blower motor or in the air duct after blower motor, they need to be vented all the time , otherwise they overheat and blow. Wires from motor are going to resistor , so if you trace the wires you'll find resistor.

check for power and ground at the blower motor. if this is good then hit motor. if it starts the motor needs replacing. then check the fuse then the fan speed switch for power and ground going to the switch and coming out of switch.

My 1997 Mazda Protege heater does not blow air, i replaced and tested blower motor, resistor and fuses inside the cab. Still nothing

Before replacing the blower motor, you should have checked the motor's input wiring loom for power.
Do you have power here?

If you don't have power, then you need to check your blower switch output wires.

The heat in my 96 mazda protege dosn't work

With the ignition and fan switches turned on check for power at fan motor. If you have power at the motor then wiggle and maybe pull on the blower motor resistor and if fan comes on just fix the connection. But when you check for power at the blower motor and don't have power then check the fan relay if it does'nt click when you turn it on then its faulty.

Is there a blower motor relay or fuse on a 1995 Mazda Protege lx?

That fuse sounds like it powers the ac compressor.
The blower motor usually takes a 30 amp fuse.
Does the blower motor work if you hook it to direct voltage ?

The fan motor on my 2001 Mazda Protege only works on high. I do not know if it is the switch or the motor. I have read also that there may be a resistor involved. Where do I start?

If you have access to a multimeter and know how to use it then you can unplug the resistor plug and check the resistor...it is usually located on the blower housing as it uses the air from the blower to keep it cool...the resistance reading will be very low...if any one shows an open condition(no reading) then you will need to replace the resistor...if you don't have a multimeter, you can try to change the resistor as they usually are not that expensive...the switch does not go bad that often

Blower motor & resistor on 1999 mazda protege. It worked only on high for the last few months. Which would be the resistor. It stopped working totally the other day, I messed around with it and got to work...

just change the resistor b/c when resistor go bad they get stuck on high or low. selecting on low give you more resistor and less flow of air from the blower and on high side you get less resistor and more flow

good luck
