It haves 1 bolt you will need to find the right size socket and put it on a braker bar to get it loose then reverse to put new one on

How to put supertine belt on 2004 grand prix

Under the hood there will be a routing diagram for the serpentine belt. Use that as a guide for replacement routing. There is an automatic belt tensioner in the loop. Use an appropriate tool to release the tension on the old belt and remove it from the vehicle. Route the new belt as per the diagram and allow the automatic tensioner to re-tension the belt.

My 1997 grand prix se belt broke now it wont turn on after I replaced it

Some pulley must be locked up if it does not turn over. If it turns over and no start the belt may have broken some wires going to the crank sensor.

Serptine belt 1997 pontic grand prix the belt fell off how to tighten it

You need a Sepentine Belt tool or just a 5/8 socket & wrench to release the tension in the pulley. Thread the belt according to the chart and press the pulley down TOWARDS THE WINDSHIELD and you should be able to set the belt in place. Prob best to have a buddy help you out. 1 can thread the belt while the other releases the tension on the pulley

Drive belt diagram

Hello! I'm not sure if you have a N/A or Supercharged 3.8 - so I've put both diagrams below.
You'll need a 15mm wrench to move the tensioner pulley.

SE, GT models with 3.8:

Trying to change a serpentine belt on a 1997 pontiac grand prix how do i take tension out?

look on the face of the tensioner for a 3/8" square hole and insert a 3/8"
ratchet and pull/push to rotate releasing tension, grab hold of belt
and slid off, careful can take a finger tip off easily and note routing.
