Question about 2005 Ford Taurus
This has happened twice now within three days. I start my car and immediately the dash flashes check brake system several times and the car dies. Then the gauges go haywire bouncing all over the place and I can't turn the car on. After waiting several minutes I try again and the car starts up and drives with no problem. I don't feel very safe driving anywhere when I feel like I could be stranded any minute. Please help. 2005 Taurus. 90k miles.
I won't go into a long technical explanation of how todays high tech vehicles work.
You want to know what to do.
You can not fix this yourself. Period.
You need to take the Taurus to a repair shop. You do not need to go to the dealer
They will charge you a diagnostic fee to scan your vehicle, then quote a price to repair
