this is the electronic brake,traction control light.it will come on when the cars ecu detects a fault.
best thing to do isto get a diagnostic check on the car at your vw dealer or anywhere that has the correct equipment.the light may just need reset

I am a vw tech there is a fuse on the back of the radio if it is not bad you need a radio now if you go aftermarket when installing the radio clip the brown wire and tape it off or this will cause communication isues with the control modules

there are four slots one at each corner on the face of te radio you may have to go to a harbor frieght or another discount tool store and buy radio removal tools after you insert all 4 till they click that lets you know its released then pull radio straight out of dash and check your fuse
