2000 peterbilt. Why no power on hills?

diesel engines that has a power loss , (1) ck you fuel filters fuel pumps and make sure its getting all the fuel pressure , sometimes the lift pump goes and its runs only on the injector pump (but with no power ) second ck your air intake filters , ck your intake hoses , follow it all the way thru the turbo to the intake , look for cracks in flex connectors and missing clamps

also if your needing a pulling truck id look for a slightly larger engine for this one , as I do belive this engines only rated for about 312 hp and that's at about 22oo rpm !

this engine is common to find in medium sized earth moving equipment

Vt 275 ICP issues

That sounds like a bad spot in the throttle position sensor. Have you checked that, or substituted a new one for it?

THE INJECTORS WILL NOT SPRAY I PUT IN A NEW FUEL PUMP IT CRANKS AND FOR FIVE MINUTES AND WILL NOT WORK ANY MORE AND NEW GAS FILTER, NEW CRANK SENOR CAM SENOR

Did you also replace the fuel filter If so it may be the fuel regulator thats inside the plum on top fof the intake manifold i see you did do the filter I would suppect the regulator before the injectors you have done most of the hard and expensive stuff already If one injector was giveing you aproblem ok but not all of them at once also make sure the pump is putting out before you start anything else sometimes its a wireing issue with the pump

Fuel pump issue, gradual flooding

NEED TO QUIT GUESSING.. IS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON.. SCAN FOR CODES. IF NONE THEN NEXT STEP IS TO CHECK FUEL PRESSURE.. IF IT IS GOOD.. THEN IF IT IS FLOODING OUT. ONCE IT IS FLOODED YOU CAN PULL SPARK PLUGS AND FIND THE ONE THAT IS WET,,, SUSPECT THAT INJECTOR TO BE STUCK OPEN

Random misfire once warmed up.

really not much to go on there

You could run some injector clean in the fuel for a couple tanks. Make it strong.

You might have weak coil pack but I don't suspect that as much

You might have an intake leak ( vacuum leak ).

The crank sensor could be dropping out at times.

You could have a valve issue

Or if your luckey you may just need a tuneup which I'm sure you have done already since your here.

Truck was running fine coming back from vacation

I would suggest going to Autozone and have them check for code or codes that might have occured, they will do it for free and diagnose what the problem might be. But anytime the check engine light comes on it has to do with your emission, possibly an oxygen sensor may have went bad, have them pull the codes and see what the prob is.
