You need to get the radio code from a Chevy dealer based off your VIN number and then input the proper code when prompted. The exact process is usually a little different for each vehicle. You may get charged to get your code but you should be able to search the actual process on the internet, in most cases free of charge.

How do you remove the radio in a 2005 Tahoe?

Have you searched YouTube for an answer to this? Search several models, not just a Tahoe. You will likely find a radio that is held in place just like the one in your Tahoe.
Some require a section of dashboard to be removed.
Some have 4 small holes at the corners of the radio bezel that a "U" shaped tool is inserted into that releases the radio and allows it to be pulled out.

I have a 2005 Chevy Tahoe and every time we go to the drive in our battery goes dead because of the lights. How do I turn the radio on and lights off?

You may have to have the radio rewired to not run from main ignition, therefore allowing you turn off your lights without loosing the radio.

My 2005 chev tahoe cd player won't play cd's and won't eject them. The cd light keeps flashing. I don't think there is on stuck. There wasn't any signs of trouble before this...

I have run into this problem many times on your particular type of radio. I have worked in a gm dealership for years. Sometimes we can reprogram them and they work better, but all will eventually need replaced. The cheaper option is to have an aftermarket radio installed, for the price of a new factory radio, you could have a much nicer aftermarket unit.

My 2005 tahoe stereo radio still plays but the 6 disc cd player will not play, will not reject CD just keeps saying initializing

Turn the radio off and disconnect the battery. This will reset the radio and cd player, NOTE:' MAKE SURE THE RADIO IS OFF OR YOUR GOING TO BE PROMPT TO ENTER A CODE TO REACTIVATE THE RADIO. Good luck and keep me posted.

Cd player in 05 tahoe

Same thing happened to my 2005 tahoe. I pulled two fuses out (panel located under the hood on drivers side), put them back in, and now it takes cds again. Drove me nuts for days. Radio also worked, just didn't take in cds.

Electrical ?

I have a '96 tahoe. Look for a code on the battery to see when it was installed. L09 would be december 09. if it is less than 3 years old have it charged and then try.
