Your exhaust pipe under the engine is a flex pipe connection to prevent it from breaking with engine movement. there is a bracket the holds the pipe mounted to the oil pan, check and see if this bolt is still there it often falls out. Hope this helps.

Where's the 02 sensor on my 2000 park avenue?

The first one is between the engine and the firewall, about in the center of the car, mounted in the exhaust manifold. The second one is under the car behind the catalytic converter, mounted in the exhaust pipe. The only things in the exhaust that have wires running to them.

The O2 sensors are in the exhaust. Your have up stream and down stream. The upstream is right behind the engine in the down pipe back by the firewall. The downstream sensor is under the car back by the catalytic converter.

Replace oxygen sensor

oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust pipe just as it leaves the engine, it monitors the exhaust gas as it exits the engine, look down between the back of engine and the firewall. peek-a-boo ! some cars have (2) one @ the exh. pipe before the CATalitc converter. use a 7/8 " wrench, wd 40 will help also. tight is tight too tight is broke.

How to replace water pump on 1991 pontiac quad 4

2.3L Engine
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable
  2. Detach the oxygen sensor connector.
  3. Properly drain the engine coolant into a suitable container. Remove the heater hose from the thermostat housing for more complete coolant drain.
  4. Remove upper and lower exhaust manifold heat shields.
  5. Remove the bolt that attaches the exhaust manifold brace to the manifold.
  6. Break loose the manifold to exhaust pipe spring loaded bolts using a 13mm box wrench.
  7. Raise and safely support the vehicle. NOTE: It is necessary to relieve the spring pressure from 1 bolt prior to removing the second bolt. If the spring pressure is not relieved, it will cause the exhaust pipe to twist and bind up the bolt as it is removed.
  8. Remove the manifold to exhaust pipe bolts from the exhaust pipe flange as follows:
    1. Unscrew either bolt clockwise 4 turns.
    2. Remove the other bolt.
    3. Remove the first bolt.
  9. Pull down and back on the exhaust pipe to disengage it from the exhaust manifold bolts.
  10. Remove the radiator outlet pipe from the oil pan and transaxle. If equipped with a manual transaxle, remove the exhaust manifold brace. Leave the lower radiator hose attached and pull down on the outlet pipe to remove it from the water pump.
  11. Carefully lower the vehicle.
  12. Remove the exhaust manifold, seals and gaskets.
  13. Loosen and reposition the rear engine mount and bracket for clearance, as required.
  14. Remove the water pump mounting bolts and nuts. Remove the water pump and cover assembly, then separate the two pieces.

Can u please give me an idea where is the crank shaft sensor really located at on a 98 dodge plymouth voyager

3.0 3.3 and 3.8 liter engines look down on the back side of the engine on the firewall side. It will be under the crossover exhaust pipe and bolted to the transmission. It will have three wires going to it.

Were are the 02 senors located on a 2001 saturn L100

This is a 4 cylinder right? Open the hood and look down between the engine and firewall, this is behind the engine. You will see the exhaust pipe, follow the exhaust pipe up to where it is bolted to the exhaust manifold. You will see the upstream O2 sensor screwed in there, more or less horizontally with wire connector pointed at driver side of car. Now get under the car and find the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe, a big bulbous thing, the downstream O2 sensor will be after the converter, but before the muffler and will also have an electrical connection.

They screw into the exuast, 02s1 is before cat convertor, It checks emissions prior to the convertor, 02s2 is after the cat convertor, it verifies the convertor has done its job
