Question about 2001 Ford F250 Super Duty Super Cab

My 2001 f 250 4x4 5.4 has a miss at all speeds except when i get on it the miss goes away truck has 168000 on it and it just started this.

Got a check light on or codes stored?
If the plugs are okey ,you may have a bad COP Coil on one cylinder.
Clean MAF Sensor ,with CRC MAF Cleaner

    I have the same truck and been battling it out with two of the coils what a pain,and expensive.

    The coils are about $60.00 at the auto parts store. Not expensive. Do them yourself whenever you get a PO300 Code. A PO 305 would be cylinder #5 and so on.

4 cylinder I ASSUME??? I suspect some of the EGR ports are clogged. Have a repair shop check and verify. If you disconnect the EGR valve and the miss/vibration goes away, then that will confirm it.

While driving 40 mph when i give it gas to go the truck start bucking the dealer said it is in the the toque converter the truck is a 2006 and has 168000. miles but has always been me it sounds...

I have seen torque converter shudder around that speed but only when going into lock up seems to me maybe ignition break down such as coil or coils going bad i have done a lot of those.there is more of a load on them the higher the gear such as 40 and up. good luck!

Please ensure that this has gear oil because some of these actually ran regular dexron tranny fluid. If it is gear oil a standard 80w-90 is a good all grade gear oil to run in it.

I have a 1996 grand am with a 3.1v6.. Starts great when cold but when the engine gets warm you can crank on it for 10 minutes with no start, unless you push the gas pedal about half way to the floor. then...

Check the fuel pressure regulator. Take off the vac line and check for leaking gas in the top of the regulator and the hose. If you see gas, replace the regulator.
