Question about 1996 Mercury Villager
Gas got low, put 2 gal. in, now when I push on the gas hardly anything happens. I have to pump peddle just to get anywhere. If I feather it just right, I can get up to 45mph but if I press any harder, nothign happens. Changed fuel filter already & had tune-up a month ago. It was running great until the gas got low the other day. Pep Boys checked Codes, they are: P-0171 & P-0325
PO171-System to Lean (Bank 1)
PO 325-Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1)
Disconnect battery for two minutes
If issues do not go away, you will need professional help
Other than running out of gas and setting codes, none of your previous work,is related.
If you still have issues related to these codes, and not to running out of gas, your list of items could be really long. So I couldn't possibly give a two hour semminar here.

The fuel pump may have cavitated(sucked air) causing a hole in the diaphragm of the pump the engine runs fine when your up to speed but put a load on it and you go no where
