You might want to start with replacing the PCV valve(s). You should also chech your air induction tubing for any obstructions. See if that helps. If not, I'll be here to go further.

Low idle. 78,000mi recent very low idle almost stalling. Hwy miles 2006 GT. plugs never changed. TPS not changed or cleaned nor throttle body. Did replace a battery early in the year.

Most often, dirty or faulty 02 sensors will throw off the idle. The 02 sensors and camshaft position sensor basically control all the idle. If TPS was dirty or bad, you would have some hesitation when giving some gas. Bad plug would cause lack of power or misfire.

Car hesitates while driving on highway. with AC on

Check for any vacuum leaks by spraying WD-40 all around the top section of the engine while it is running. If you here the engine start to stumble then concentrate the spray on that area until you locate a loose or worn vacuum line. Also you may have to have your throttle position switch(tps) and or your crankshaft position sensor(cps) tested for integrity.

2001 mercury grand marquis. Engine stutters or hesitates with jerking when lightly accelerating. Seems like an air, fuel, or spark delivery problem. At wide open throttle this problem is not as noticeable....

Start car and use a squirt bottle of water to wet the wires and coil, if you see it spark or run rough one or both are bad, repair the wires first as they are more common.
