Thermostat on an 05 Cavalier is under the exhaust manifold on the lower radiator hose. Removal of manifold is required for servicing.

Follow your upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine that the hose connects to..usually two bolts hold the cover half on take it off and you should see it.

Replace thermosat in 2005 chevy express van

Easy, simply trace the bottom radiator hose (lower left of the radiator) from it's connection point on the radiator to it's connection point on the engine, that's where the thermostat is located.

Need to replace thermostat on 2005 Chevy 2500HD 4x4

The thermostat is located in the water pump next to the 2 heater hoses. I think you have to buy the housing to get a thermostat. Not serviced seperately.

2001 chevy caviler is over heating

To locate the thermostat follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine it will be at the end of the hose. Also if you have an electric secondary fan make sure the sensor that controls it is working or the engine will over heat.
