I am in exactly the same situation. Remote entry will lock/unlock doors,(new batteries in it) but engine will not turn over. I've tried different keys.I was able to silence alarm and stop lights. Same thing happened last summer and I was able to recover use of vehicle by trying different sequences with the keys but have forgotten the order. This happened after paying dealership the last of my savings. I will welcome any suggestions.

05 Cadillac SRX battery draining down after a couple days of sitting.

Dealer should have been able to figure this one out!

Best bet to trouble shoot is next time it is going to sit for a couple of days disconnect the battery. After the couple of days pass hook up the battery and if it's dead then the battery isn't holding a charge, if not then something in the vehicle is draining the battery.

If you live in a colder climate weak batteries tend to be more of a problem as temps get colder.

If the battery is more then 3 years old it is a prime suspect.

Hope this helps!

Car is "dead" but battery/alternator/starter are all in working order. Hornet is causing this.

Sounds more like a faulty battery terminal to me from your description ,try cleaning and make sure its tight then smear with petroleum grease.Clean terminal with a kettle of hot water first

if the batter has a drain the starter may be at fault the starter can drain a battery with out running i would unhook the battery cables then charge the battery then i would have the starter tested.

My car, a 1999 300 M, when it sits for a couple of days wont start on the first try..it will click ...sometimes but you have to keep turning the key on over and over.. some thimes it takes longer to start...

Yes, you have dead spots an the starter commutator. The way to tell is this: the next time it happens, get a hammer and hit the starter dead on the side. If it then starts, replace the starter.

After sitting for three days, my '96 Honda will not start. I get clicking noises but no starting. What can this be?

I would assume your battery cables are loose or the battery has drained itself somehow. Try cleaning your cables and tightening them. You made need to boost it or put a charger on it for a while. If you need to recharge the battery, either you have a poor battery that is no longer holding a charge, or something is draining it while it sits. Could be a trunk light, or glovebox light, or many other things.

Got a low votage msg couple of weeks ago and replaced the battery. Got the same msg a few weeks later; went away for a couple of days and when I came back car would not start. Took it to Pep Boys to run...

If the battery is not recharging while the car is running, bad connection between alternator and battery. If it is dying while sitting, but charging while running, something is draining it. What? Who knows. It could be anything from a clock on the radio to an engine fan that doesn't stop. Look for anything electrical that is on when the car isn't. ANYTHING. Even the smallest light can pull more juice than you'd expect. Good luck.
