Timing and serpentine belt replaced, now AC will not work

I just had my timing and serpentine belt replaced in my 1998 Audi A4. On my way home, I tried to turn on my AC and it just blows hot air and compressor does not turn on. I took it back to the shop and they can't seem to find the problem. They said it was fully charged. I know it was working before I had the belts replaced. I do notice 2 wet spots on the ground at the front bumper on the left and right side of the car. Any idea what they are missing when they put it back together?

I left off I have a check engine light on and it doesn't seem to want to idle right. They said they added power directly to the compressor and it turned on leading them to think it may be a wiring issue or a relay. Needless to say, I am going back tomorrow. To be fair it has 223k miles. However, I find it hard to believe these issues are purely coincidental.

Is the timing belt replacement link with the number of Km (90000) only or also with the car life. In other word my A4 19 TDI is 2003 and has got 55000 km when shall i replace the timing belt?

Even your car Audi A4 1.9 TDI has got 55000 km and the timing belt replacement is due at 90000 km, the car was made in 2003. I strongly recommend you to change now the timing belt in order to prevent any risk!

Timing belt

It should say in your owners manual, if you dont have it, you usually change it around 100k. you might also try and call your local audi dealer and they might tell you.

Timing Belt Replacement

Usually you're looking at $900-1100 at a dealership for parts and labor. If you can take the car to an independent Euro shop, expect more like $700-850 for the same job. If you're in range of upstate NY, I can do it for you for about $650 p/l (I do it in my own garage - no overhead:) ).
