On the 4.0 v8 the valve is on the compressor itself, you need to crawl under. on the v6 the valve is on the low pressure hose also under the vehicle, low side is tha large hose of the 2 hoses, look toward the center of the car while kneeling at the left front wheel looking just behind the wheel next to a chassis tie down.

Remember the car is most likely going to need to be up off the ground, support it with jack stand for safety sake.

Air conditioner blower stopped working on 2004

If the blower works but its just not blowing cold air, its possible to recharge the AC system yourself. Most auto parts stores carry AC recharge kits. Instructions to recharge the AC are belowl

RECHARGING AC SYSTEM

1.Turn the truck on and turn AC on HIGH
2.Locate the low side AC line (will have a valve and cap similar to the cap on a tire)
3.Insert the oil or R-134A can to the hose (Do not turn the screw to puncture the can yet)
4.Insert the other end of the refill hose to the low side valve
5.Puncture the R-134A can with the screw on the refill hose
6.You should feel the system suction the refrigerant out of the can
7.Check for frost on the AC lines and the air blowing inside the truck
8.If frost develops and the air is cold, you've successfully recharged the system and disconnect the refill hose. DO NOT ADD MORE REFRIGERANT...overcharging the system will damage your compressor and will be less effective

Best of luck and enjoy your vacation.
Greg

Hopefully this answers your question and you're able to get your AC working again. Best of luck.

My air conditioning is not blowing any cold air.

It shoud have R134a, I would use a recharge kit. If you have a slow leak this will only be a temporary fix. They usually sell a kit with a dye inside the can, If you use that you should be able to locate where the leak is.

How do I recharge the a/c on my 95 jeep GC?

If the AC is not blowing cold air anymore, then yes, recharging will help. However, the AC system is a sealed system and should never need recharging. So if it does need recharging, then there is a leak in the system somewhere that has to be fixed first. It can be a little pricy, so be sure to call around for quotes.
