Hi! You may want to check the MAF (mass air flow) sensor. Used to worked on one and have it running good when replaced. Hope this shed some light. Good luck and have a nice day.

Sometimes the MAF dont give error codes, thats why we do it manually. Good luck on this!

Yes, mostly all knows that there should be an error code when its a maf problem. But no really, specially when we got older cars some of the trigger for check engine just malfunctions and can cause no engine codes.

Possibly an ignition module or crank sensor problem. These are the two most common stalling electronics that will cause a stall when they get warm/hot and will then continue to operate once cooled down

1996 Buick Roadmaster rough start sputters and

Check the mass air flow sensor (clean both heated wires with carb cleaner and Q-tip). Remember...cleaning does not always work...sometimes they are actually bad. Also check map sensor. Check for vacuum leaks at all hoses and fittings. If engine rpm drops sufficiently, engine vacuum will drop which may have caused a/c malfunction (controls work with vacuum signal) so I wouldn't worry about that 'till the run problem is dealt with.

try checking the coil igniter, if this is faulty and it gets hot it will really make your car die but when its cold it will make your car run again.
