Toyota fortuner wont start

I picked up the same problem now..
I changed the starter since the starter was dragging.
The vehicle starts much quicker.
However. That elimanted the drag starting.
It hasnot eliminated the main problem, turning the key full to start and only sometimes it takes to start.
Checked the fuses and all relays. All earths.
All 100%.
Cud be the ignition? .
Cud be bad battery terminals?
Any other suggestions....

Replaced starter, alternater and battery car still drains battery. whats wrong?

First you can not test an alternator by disconnecting the battery cable. That is what we did back when cars had generators. Today you can fry the computer and alternator running the engine with the battery cable off.
Meanwhile, I would look for a fuseable link or main fuse problem. The alternator circuit may not be connected to the fuse box and battery.

I went to start my 92 lumina and it wouldn't start... the battery was dead, so I jumped it with a jump box and it was fine... I drove it to the store and back. 2 days later the battery was dead again...

first you half to determine if the alternater is working. you do his by jumping the car and while its running take of the neg cable off to the car if it dies then you know the alternater is not working properly,
if it stays running you know you have a electricalen short you half to trace down

We have a 2002 Grand Cherokee that we have just bought. Dealer installed a brand new battery because of sluggish starts. In a week the battery is acting weak again, sometimes it starts fine, other times...

I was having the same issue with my 95 GMC. I replaced the battery and alternator. It would start fine at times, at other times it would be sluggish. I finally took the starter off and had it checked. Turns out the starter was bad. When it would get hot, it would act as though the battery was dead. Replaced the starter and it has not acted up again. Have the starter checked. Replace if bad.

95 lumina not cranking. replaced starter, still not cranking.

Hi my name is Tom and I am here to help you.

The problem seems to be in the contacts that go to the starter. Did you replace the starter and solenoid? If so check the connection to the battery and starter solenoid. If you only replaced the starter then replace the solenoid. I can walk you through the steps, if you so chose.

Hi I have a 98 lumina car 3.1L that has a problem keeping charge.

Likely a crushed wire or switch within the damaged door is draining the battery. The easiest fix would be to find a replacement door at a wrecking yard--you might even be able to get one in the same color.

Car wont start

Try checking the battery, it could be dead or almost dead. If it is, you might want to check and see if the alternater is out. If that dosn't work or the battery is fine, then try replacing the starter.
