Hi! Please try this simple steps on removing the rear shocks.
- You will need to remove the trimmings on the rear to gain access to the nut holding the shocks
- Once you get a visual on the nuts please use penetrating oil specially if its rusty
- Once removed, go underneath to remove the lower bolts using an 18mm wrench (use penetrating oil)
- Now youre ready to put the new shocks on and repeat the procedure vise versa on putting it back on
Note: Please secure the wheels using jack stands to prevent injuries. Hope this helps and have a good one!

You must be referring to the interior panels covering the top of the rear struts.
They just pop off with a little plying.
At Harbor Freight they sell a cheap set of plastic pry bars for this, so that you don't scratch anything.

you need to take apart the interior panels to gain access to these bolt. there are a few screws and a bunch of snap clips that hold these onto the body of the vehicle. but it is not too complicated to get to.
