The cost of getting a car aligned can be discovered by calling alignment shops in the phone book and asking them. I would expect between 40 and 90 dollars. However on a car 13 years old there will be mechanical parts so worn that a good alignment cannot be done. Then you get into the cost of buying and installing all those parts, then getting the car aligned.

Starters can be had from 25 and up used, 100 and up rebuilt from a parts store, and 200 and up from a dealer. Installation would be 50 and up depending on whether you get it done at a small shop or a dealer.

2001 v6 auto tribute starter dos'nt engage ring gear consistantly

most common issue is the starter is aligned properly, this can be fixed by shiming the starter ( most replacement starters come with shims, if not you should be able to get them from your parts store)

the next most likely issue is worn drive gears on the starter or fly wheel

Steering wheel shakes

Front end alignment will fix this. Any time I have my front end aligned, I also have the tires rotated and balanced. Get your tires rotated and balanced, and get the front end aligned. Not too costly and you'll be amazed in how smooth it will ride after you have it done! Easy fix.

good luck!

I have a 1994 pontiac grand am and it is leaking oil only when its running and it is coming just above the starter. I just got the starter replaced also. what is going wrong and how much will it cost me....

if this only happen after the starter was replaced then its probably the oil pressure switch leaking as it is above the starter.this will be a cheap fix(about 35 dollars)depending on labour rate and cost of part.

the fill tank has a float inside that is stuck, before you get an alignment your probably gonna want 2 replace the control arm bushings first and check the tie rods, the 4 bushings cost me almost $400 from dealer plus you gotta have them pressed in

99 Aurora. 2nd starter. Car sometimes won't start. Sounds like starter solenoid. When it doesn't start, I turn the key and hear solenoid click. Mechanic claims it's not the starter. This happens about once...

We had the same issue on an 2001 Aurora. I left it for a year before it finally annoyed me enough to fix it. In our case it was the starter. The only difference was we didn't get a click of the solenoid when it happened.
I would guess the starter OR the alignment of the starter. If the starter is not aligned properly, sometimes when the solenoid engages it does not throw the gear out into the flywheel properly.
The "starts with a jump" doesn't make any sense to me. If this is really the case I would look at the battery and connections for an issue. If you do not have enough power to engage the starter properly this could be the issue.

How much would it cost to fix the inner tire rod

The parts for the inner and outer together is around $80, (all 4 joints) labor to install should be about 2 hours plus alignment, I would say $220 is a good price for that work. Just make sure that price includes a new alignment. Hope this helps, let me know.

How much will it cost to fix tie rod on 98 grand prix gt

At our shop, about 25-30 bucks for the part, 20 Bucks to install, and 50 bucks for a 4 wheel alignment.. so roughly 100 bucks.. But keep in mine different shops have different labor rates.. Id replace both tie rods if it were me to get my money's worth outta the alignment.. Thanks.. ( ps) get ur own parts as most shops mark up the price

Car makes grinding noise when I try to start,

You may need to install what they call shims in between the starter and the flywheel in order to align it correctly with the flywheel

Aligning the starter ring to crankshaft on sc2

They are self aligning. Install the starter with the 2, 15mm bolts. and connect the wires. No shims no aligning.
