The synchronizer is bad not alowing the forks to keep in fifth gear it is probably cheaper to rebuild it than it is to buy a new one still over 1000 easy

First check the transmission MIL code , that will tell you if it is the Over Drive lock solenoid mal functioning , Do a tranny oil change with filter ,then replace fifth gear pressure solenoid , when you are there already .

My 2003 Santa Fe will not stay in 5th gear! I have a new clutch!!! What's up??

This is not a clutch problem this is a worn part in the transmission causing this, have the transmission removed and torn down and inspected to see what is worn out and affecting the 5th gear.

Car pops out of 5th gear if u hold the shifter while driving it stays in gear. Any suggestions?

You most likely have a bent 5th/Reverse shifting fork inside the transmission and it is not moving the syncronizer fully into gear. You must remove and disassemble the transmission to fix it.

Pops out of 5th gear

You're 5th gear syncro has just gone out. It keeps your shift forks and slider gear from popping off. It also makes it possible to shift the gear in. It's going to take a rebuild of the transmission to fix this problem.

Rav4 gear problem

You need a new 5th gear- luckily this is easy to replace- I did it myself following online directions for 5th gear replacement. The 5th gear is not in the box with the other gears- its off to the side so you can access it very easily by removing the left front wheel. Just don't let the idler assembly come apart, lots of tiny parts and springs...
The 5th gear can ware out prematurely if you rest your hand on the shifter- do not rest your hand on the shifter in the future.
