Unfortunately, there's only 2 causes of this. One the computer is located under the heater core( center of dash) & it's leaking on the computer. Replace the heater core & pcm(computer). Or it needs a transmission. Sorry for the bad news,.

On my dash panel, the hold button is flash on drive 3 and doesn't change to 4th gear. So it doesn't slip with the, hold button on 3 flashing. What is the problem?

Worn valve body seals Lucas transmission additive will sometimes swell the seals. For 12 bucks it's worth trying. Adding one ounce of brake fluid also swells seal and stops leaks for less out of pocket.

What can cause my Armada to have so many problems going wrong all at once like this? I have spoken with a few mechanics from a Nissan dealership and they said they have no idea what has gone wrong wi

It sounds like you could have a problem as simple as the transmission speed sensor, or something more troublesome as a faulty management computer or ground issue in the dash harness. Hopefully your Nissan is under warranty because an intermittent problem can be very troublesome to trace down.

I have a 1999 jetta and the transmission seems to slip when it gets pass 3 rpms. its a automatic. i've recently just noticed this and it doesn't seem good. it also will make a noticeable loud nose when...

It is 3000 rpm's. If you look at your tachometer closely it will indicate the numbers you are reading are x1000. Check your transmission fluid. Always check when warmed up and running. It's a good idea to have your automatic transmission serviced with a new filter & fluid and the cooler flushed.

Traction contol, Transmission, Tire pressers sensor

I'm fighting problem #1 right now myself... I'll let you know if I find an answer.

Anytime you get the Low Tire Pressure light you have to reset it. There is a panel on the driver's side of the dash, facing the door. So you have to have your door open to get to it.You are looking for the red button.

From the 1999 Alero manual:

"To reset(calibrate) the system, turn the ignition switch to ON. The RESET button is located inside the drivers side fuse panel. Press and release the RESET button.

The CHANGE OIL light will begin to flash. Press and release the RESET button again. The CHANGE OIL light will go off, and the LOW TIRE PRESSURE light will start flashing. When the LOW TIRE PRESSURE light is flashing, press and hold the RESET button until the chime sounds."

Transmission slips going into second gear

Does it slip going into any other gear? First off, try checking the Transmission fluid level to ensure it is at the proper level (do this only after the car is hot and the car is running and on level ground for an accurate fluid level reading. If the fluid level seems to be in the proper range, bring the car to a reputable mechanic for inspection and/or adjustment on the bands of the transmission.
