Check the battery cables for corrosion, if they look clean, cut the insulation back about an inch & you'll probably see it's green. Replace the cables.

Probably need a new starter but first make sure the following items are in good condition and working:

a) battery cables and wiring going to starter
b) neutral safety switch , starter relay and ignition switch.
I normally recommed doing a starter current draw testbut if you don't have the equiptment its easier to put a voltmeter on the terminal that goes from the relay to the starter solenoid and crank the vehicle and observe the amount of voltage that is making it to the starter. If its about 10 volts or better than the starter is at fault.

Santa fe 2007 wont start makes a single click noise

May be ab bad starter solenoid, or corroded/loose connection at starter, or (ground). Could also be a bad ignition switch. Start from the load; the starter. Test for 12V at starter, OK. Connect short wire from starter and touch sylenoid connection..

I have a 1992 vigor and it ran up till the battery went bad and so I bought a new one and now the car wont start. It just makes a click noise and wont even turn over.

A click noise is from a bad solenoid or starter, not the battery. Have someone check out the solenoid and starter. Quick fix.

It wont start, just makes a clicking noise. put new battery cables on, new starter, new cylinoid. tried to jump start it, wont jump start either

Clicking noise usually means a bad connection at the battery terminal. It can also be a bad connection at the starter or solenoid.
Re-clean and tighten battery cables, and if that doesn't do it,re-tighten starter connections.Don't overtighten as copper-bronze studs can break easily. If your Ranger is standard shift (4 or 5-speed), don't get under the car or in front of it without the battery cables disconnectede or the shifter in neutral,as any current you inadvertently send thru the starter can engage it and run you over or knock the vehicle off jackstands or blocks. don-ohio

When i turn the key the escape wont start it just makes a clicking noise?

That noise is probably the starter solenoid rattling because the battery charge is low. Start out with a jump or make sure the battery is fully charged up.

Only makes a clicking noise and wont start

First, remove the battery terminals and clean them. Check that the ground wire on the block is tight and clean and the wire at the starter is also good. If you have 12v at the main starter cable and12v at the smaller (trigger) wire next to it with the key turned to the "start" position, it's likely the starter is bad (providing you can turn the engine by hand with key switch off) Make sure that the battery has 12v before starting diagnosis...radio etc. draw far less than the starter does. Even if relatively new, if the charging system isn't working, it will draw down the battery in less than an hour while driving..

Start up issues

Take your starter off and have it checked out. Sounds like it's taking too much power, and possibly killing your battery. A bad starter will drain your battery when the vehicle isn't running.
